Valle Nevado is both, modern and convenient. Chile's most developed ski resort with the fastest lift in South America, the Andes Express. The mountain is close to Santiago and the airport making for a short transfer. The primary ski resort of Chile's Three Valleys Valle Nevado has the most skiable terrain and widest range of skiing.

All three of the hotels at Valle Nevado benefit from these facilities and are virtually ski in ski out. There are also a limited number of apartments for a ski week at Valle Nevado although without the lift passes and meals included these may not be convenient for most. Sit back and enjoy the views and spectacular Valle Nevado sunsets over Santiago at apres ski time before your choice of restaurant for dinner when staying in any of the hotels at Valle Nevado.
Valle Nevado lift passes can be extended (extra charge) to include all of the 3 Valleys ski centres (with El Colorado & La Parva). The heliskiing & heliboarding here are both excellent. Valle Nevado is one of the few resorts (if not the only one as it often is) in South America where it is offered throughout the season, taking you further into the Andes for a fraction of the cost of North America or Europe.
