Patagonia’s spectacular Lake District is the region where the hut to hut tours are undertaken. Winter in the Southern Hemisphere sees many of the Patagonian peaks covered in fresh powder.
Stunning scenery, undiscovered terrain and charming backcountry lodges make this South America's ski touring heaven. The 8-day Ski Mountaineering adventure includes nights at rustic yet cozy mountain huts.
The nights in the lakeside town of Bariloche give you the chance to dine on fondue, pizza or rosti and top it off with a stunning Argentinean red wine. The tour finishes in Bariloche with some of the best nightlife and restaurants in South America.

Price is based on double/twin occupancy. Single upgrade is only available in Bariloche at $200 per person.

Itinerary
» Day 1: Fly into Bariloche, Argentina, meet your guides, hotel check-in, group and trip intro, prep for tomorrow's departure, dinner on the town.
» Day 2: Breakfast, depart to Catedral ski resort to access our backcountry route, ski to Frey Hut, dinner
» Day 3-4: Breakfast, 2 days of ski touring between granite spires and steep powder chutes, overnight at Frey Hut, dinner
» Day 5: Breakfast, full day skiing touring on the Frey-Jacob traverse. Overnight Hut Jacob, dinner.
» Day 6: Breakfast, touring and skiing around Jacob, overnight Hut Jacob, dinner.
- Day 7: Breakfast, ski and ski tour out, with some horse assistance, over night in Bariloche, dinner and night on the town.
» Day 8: Breakfast, free morning to explore, transfer to Bariloche Airport.

» 35L backpack with harness straps for carrying skis or board
» 457 Khz avalanche transceiver

» For skiers you will need skis set up with either Telemark or an Alpine Touring binding system (Fritschi Freeride, Silvretta Pure, etc). Plus skins and ski crampons.
» For snowboarders you will need a splitboard with skins and crampon, but for those with experience only. No snowshoes.
