Termas de Chillan has some of the best backcountry and off piste options in not only Chile, but all of South America. This is your opportunity to experience this ski and snowboard dream resort first hand with guides that know the ski area inside out.
The skiing includes an 1800m (3300ft) run starting on the rim of a volcanic crater and gliding down its flanks after watching the sunset, to Alaska style faces that lead into natural hot springs.
This is a truly unique 7 day ski and snowboard adventure. Your hotel, the MI lodge (Mission Impossible Lodge) in Las Trancas, specialises in hospitality and is run by skiers and snowboarders who 'live' the Termas de Chillan terrain.
The guides have several years experience of skiing and exploring Termas.

� Day 1: Fly into Concepcion or take a train to Chillan, meet your guides, MI Lodge check-in, group and trip intro and dinner
� Day 2: Breakfast, avalanche safety session, ski Termas de Chillan and it's epic backcountry with your guides, free evenings, dinner
� Day 3-6: Breakfast, full day ski touring and exploring Termas de Chillan's seemingly endless backcountry.
� Day 7: Breakfast, free morning to explore or sleep in, transfer to Chillan

Not Included:

� Your round trip international flight to Chile or Argentina, airline/airport fees and taxes, train or national flight to Concepcion / Chillan, required travel insurance, end of trip gratuities to your guides, drinks, and required equipment (see below).
� Required Backcountry Focus Equipment
� We require all guests to ride with a minimum of a 29 Litre backpack (up to 35 Lt is ideal) with suitable external harness straps for carrying your skis or snowboard. You will also need a 457 Khz avalanche transceiver, avalanche snow shovel, and probe.
� For skiers you will need skis set up with either Telemark or an Alpine Touring binding system (Fritschi Freeride, Silvretta Pure, etc). Plus skins and ski crampons.
� For snowboarders you will need snowshoes with good heal lift and an aggressive crampon. Another option is a splitboard with skins and crampon, but for those with experience only.
