Ski Argentina - Summer Skiing & Snowboarding in South America

Argentina has a wide range of ski resorts to suit all abilities. Las Lenas is possibly the most famous for the extreme skiers and those that crave powder, off-piste and backcountry skiing or snowboarding.
Bariloche in the Lake District of Patagonia is another well know resort with skiing for everyone in an idyllic setting on Lake Nahuel Huapi.
Other resorts in Argentina are less frequented. Chapelco Ski Resort is located above the town of San Martin de Los Andes in a beautiful Lake District setting. It has a snowpark and tree skiing and a wide range of pistes to suit all abilities.
Other resorts are much smaller situated in various locations, many within the Lake District. These are best visited on a guided South American ski tour.

In each of the main Argentinian ski resorts we have a range of accommodation available. There are a few apartments in the ski centres with many in Las Lenas, most lodging in the other ski resorts is in hotels.

In Argentina the three main ski resorts to consider are: -

• Catedral Bariloche - Stay on the hill at Catedral or in the town of Bariloche with more nightlife and choice of restaurants. Great all round skiing suitable for all skiers and snowboarders
• Las Lenas - Famous for it's off-piste, backcountry and extreme skiing. If The Marte lift is running and the weather is in your favor you are in for some of the World's best powder skiing
• Cerro Castor in Ushuaia - Ski the Land of Fire. Cerro Castor boasts a later season with picturesque views over the Beagle Channel. The best place to ski late in the season other than on a guided ski tour
